If parts of continental crust are moving away from one another, there must be places where the continental crust is colliding. The Arabian plate is moving away from Africa but running into the Eurasian Plate. The collision of continents creates mountain ranges.

India for example, is moving north, and colliding with the rest of Eurasia. When continents collide they create mountain ranges. This is why the Himalayas, the tallest mountains in the world, are were they are.
