Introduction
Many people may wonder often times what causes a tornado. Tornados form from what is called a tornadic thunderstorm. Therefore the tornados develop from the released energy from the tornado thunderstorms. When i was in middle school I had my first experience with a tornado scare.I was in Murfreesboro Tennessee in class when my teacher said we had to go in the hallway ,and get on are knees for a tornadko warning. In Murfreesboro alot of us didn't take the drill seriously ,because the tornado usually missed are area,but this time it touched down in the city. Thier was only minor damge done to buildings ,and luckliy no deaths. After this experience I became interested in the development of tornados.
Explanation
Before a thunderstorm can develop there is a change in direction and an increase in the wind speed. The increase creates an unseen, horizon spinning effect in the lower part of the atmosphere. Creating what we know to be tornados. TornadosWhen the latent heat is released it warms the rising air parcel, the difference in density pushes the air up at excessive velocities. These excessive velocities are what help form tornados. Tornados can release an enormous amount of energy. Tornados have a damage path of about 150 feet wide, and move about 30 miles per hour. Tornados usually last only a few minutes, but that is just enough time to damage anything in its path. usually have a solid supply of energy in order to form. The source of energy comes from the latent heat of condensation which is a potential energy. The latent heat is released as the warm air rises and water vapor condenses into liquid water.

Tornados are predicted at a limited extent. The development of tornados is not exact, but scientists do know that they usually form under certain types of atmospheric pressure. When the forecasters notice the certain atmospheric pressures they can predict that tornados might occur.It is still not possible for scientists to predict in advance when, and where the tornados will develop. They also cannot predict in advance how strong or weak they will be. The only thing we can do when a tornado occurs is to listen for warnings on our local news station, radio station, and listen for instructions.
