Goals:
- make measurements of plate velocities at divergent margins (setup specific stations)
- using magnetic anomaly maps (map)
- use Geomapapp to measure distances since magnetic anomaly map does not have scale
- compare to topographic maps and/or satellite images of divergent boundaries
- make observations about topographic features at station locations
- what is latitude and longitude of those stations?
- draw cross section of this location showing lithosphere, asthenosphere, etc.
- groups share results with class
- convergent and strike-slip boundaries - use GPS exercises from online
- software instructions
