• Change in volume of water/ice with melting, freezing or changes in temperature
• Idealized latent heat of transformation
• A graph of the temperature change over time

User's Guide: Model Controls

• A single slider called the "Heat flow control" sets the heat flow into and out of the beaker.
  1. Slide the yellow button the right of center to add heat (up to 40 J/s) and to the left to cool (-40 J/s maximum).
  2. Green button: sets the heat delivered to 0.

Notes

1. The beaker holds 2 grams of water.
2. When the water evaporates the water vapor in the headspace of the jar is invisible but will recondense if the jar is cooled.
