Talk:Coriolis Model Instructions
From GeoMod
Comment
This model was demonstrated to a weather and clomate class to understand some of the effects to the climate changes. By showing the coriolis effect in a model, the class was able to understand how there is a horizontal pull produced by the rotation of the earth. The class expressed the concern about being able to use the controls more freely and changing the colors to resemble the earth.

These are the comments made the Summer I Weather & Climate class after showing the model and soliciting comments.
1. Since the view is from the top of the northern hemisphere, could there be another right next to the existing one with a view either through the earth/globe looking at the southern hemisphere from a northern perspective. As an alternative, just have another view next to the existing. 2. Place more lines of latitude and indicate the degrees of each line. Also label the equator since it’s the outermost ring. 3. Shorten the barrel of the cannon because the belief of the class is that by the time the shot leaves the barrel, its slightly delayed. 4. Add line of longitude and mark them with degrees. 5. Find a way to zoom out a little in order to incorporate both hemispheres. 6. Can the spheres move in a revolutionary manner?
