If you are interested in erosion, something to think about for this model is the flow regime that is needed to erode the gully. And based on this flow regime how far will the eroded sediment be transported in the gully. Higher flow regimes will deposit further down the system while low regimes may just loosen sediment and allow it to fall vertically in the channel. Also how compacted is the sediment encasing the gully to begin with (porosity). Kstevens

You could also look at the change of erosion, then model the change to see the development of gullies. JBateman

I guess you will have to calculate stream power to figure out you sediment load potential.Rodney

Hmmm, I imagine you could add some code to change the gradient, cohesiveness of the soil, and particle size. I think adding in something for vegetation holding sediment in place might also be a good idea. dneilans
