Purpose

The main goal of today's work is to determine if it is possible to get a picture of where outcrops occur by draggin a temperature probe along the stream bed. This is done by attaching the temperature probe to a boat and floating down the river. The probe is set to log temperature every two seconds. A separete GPS unit is also set to record position every two seconds. This way, position can be correlated to temperature.

Here we go back to the study area and get soem more temperture and elevation profile data, as well as more seep tank information.

We redo the seep tanks to determine if they are still accurate or if the rate of seepage in the river changes substancially from week to week.

Sediment samples were collected as well. These will be used to determine if there is a difference in grain size within the area.

Weather -

The weather today was fairly sunny and warm, around 90 F.
