3. Steps to be followed to view downloaded DEM in ArcMap

I had downloaded the DEM of Pearl River, Mississippi but the downloaded data cannot be viewed in ArcMap directly. It is in .e00 format and we should follow the follow steps before the DEM can finally be viewed.
1. Open ArcCatalog
2. Goto Tools > Options > File Types
3. Click ‘New Type’ and ‘e00’ in File Extension and ‘ArcInfo Coverage Interchange File’ in Description of Type.
4. Click the View Menu and select Toolbars.
5. Activate the ArcView 8.x Tools toolbar.
6. Click the newly added Conversion tools dropdown.
7. Select Import from Interchange File.
8. Navigate, for the Input file, to the directory location of the .e00 file to be imported.
9. Specify a name and location for the output dataset.
After this go to ArcMap and add the data view.
And... yo... your DEM would be displayed in the view.
